Project Description
LeftField was selected to support the planning, design and construction of UMass Amherst's 34,000 sf, LEED Gold dining facility, called Blue Wall.
This project included work on the concourse level, which consisted of dining facility upgrades and 1st floor mechanical upgrades that provide new supply and exhaust capacities for the renovated dining space.
Blue Wall was designed to host 850 guests at a time and serve a variety of menu options from the 11 newly incorporated food stations. This facility supports the newly build academic building and is to become the center of the student activity on campus with late serving hours and comfortable confines for good food combined with encouraging student interactivity.
