The Town of Lynnfield hired LeftField to oversee two concurrent expansions at the Huckleberry Hill Elementary School and Summer Street Elementary School.

The Huckleberry Hill school had a 6-classroom addition with staff and student restrooms and IT room, and a complete new gym with educational offices and storage as well as sports equipment such as a climbing wall, scoreboards and screens to accommodate multiple community sports and activities. The Summer Street school had 5 new classrooms added along with staff and student restrooms, language resource rooms and IT room, as well as a significant renovation of the All Purpose Room to provide more flexible main level space for lunch seating, school meetings and other events. 

Each school had expanded site work to accommodate new playgrounds, outdoor play areas, outdoor classrooms and much needed parking for staff and visitors. Construction took place in multiple phases to accommodate students and faculty while both schools remained fully operational during all phases. Both schools also had phased interior renovations to select existing spaces, updating the educational programming with new technology, accommodating the growing need for expanded classrooms to support special needs students, as well as accommodating a rapidly growing student enrollment.
