Project Description

LeftField was selected to support the planning, design and construction of Harvard's Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology (SCRB) project. This project was a major, multi-phase, LEED Platinum renovation.

The first phase of the project included creating new lab and office space for SCRB at the Bauer Building.

Phase two involved several major enabling projects required to relocate the Molecular and Cellular Biology Department from the Sherman Fairchild building to the Northwest Science Building, the Biolabs, as well as the BRI Buildings.

The third and last phase was the gut renovation of the 100,000 square foot, 30-year-old Sherman Fairchild Building into flexible, open lab space.
