Chris Elia
Project Manager
After graduating from Bentley University, Chris began his career in the financial services industry working for several asset managers in the Boston area within their compliance departments. In these roles, he worked extensively with traders and portfolio managers under tight deadlines which required him to learn to make decisions concisely while respecting the regulatory environment as well as client directed strategies.
After working in Compliance in Financial Services for several years, he was “fortunate” to be a casualty of the market downturn. During this time, he earned a Certificate in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology and used this as a springboard to shift his career focus. He transitioned as an Assistant Field Supervisor for Chapman Construction and Design. While with Chapman he assisted on several projects in the corporate interior and academic sectors learning and utilizing his time management and creative problem-solving skills developed while working in compliance. Chris further developed his construction and project management skills working for several OPM firms in the Boston area. While his primary focus was in the Higher Education sector, other notable projects included a 32-unit multi-family project and a mid-sized manufacturing facility. At LeftField, Chris has worked on Higher Ed projects and is now working on public projects in the state of Rhode Island.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, two children and their dog Elsa.
